Happy Anniversary!

Two posts in one day? Crazy, I know, but I MUST post this today!

One year ago today we brought our beautiful baby girl home from PetSmart, our third shelter-adopted "child". She was a scrawny five pound little girl, with a runny nose and stitches in her tummy (from getting "fixed"). This pic was taken about a week after we brought her home. You can still see her little striped tummy. I love that her skin is striped, and not just her fur!

We named her Emma Grace. Emma because Terry O'Quinn had just won an Emmy for his role on LOST (and I wanted something LOST related), and Grace because she's gray (and I like the name). So Emma Grace she is, but she also gets called Kitty, Kit Kat, Princess, Pretty Girl, Emmy Lou Who, and, when she's in trouble, Emma Louise Matilda Lynne Grace. :)

After a steady diet of love, affection, and Science Diet cat food, she blossomed into a healthy nine pound kitty. This pic was taken tonight....

This is her favorite "ain't I cute" pose. And who could resist this beautiful face?

For years Ed and I have prayed to be blessed with a beautiful, healthy, baby girl. A few months ago I realized that God had answered our prayers - with our Emma Grace! I hope that someday we will have a little HUMAN girl, but until then, I'll love and fuss over Emma. She is such a joy!

Domination Complete!!!!!

It's finished! I have totally and completely taken over the computer room! It is 100% stamping space now, although I do have to share one corner with the PC and file cabinet. :)

Here is the "after" pic of last little area I had left to conquer...

The cabinet on the bottom holds the tons of items that are awaiting alteration and beautification. The two drawer units on the cabinet hold clear acrylic blocks, adhesives, ink cartridges for wheels, misc. embellishments and a bunch of assorted stuff! On top of those we have 5 bottles of Prima flowers, Sawyer in a palm tree (from my LOSTie sistah Barb), and an awesome altered tin (from my LOSTie sistah Tracy).

And, the crowning glory is my "show and tell" bulletin board, covered with cards and gifts and pictures from and of my LOSTie sistahs. They are one talented bunch of ladies! I swap these around regularly to keep life interesting.

Next project? Well, I've promised to stay away from the Ed's reloading bench in the garage, so maybe I'll claim some extra space in the guest room. That's how it always starts, isn't it? With that little extra corner of space in a spare room? And before you know it, you're looking at world domination!
