Sam. Well, we heard from the vet that he does not have a bone infection. This isn't exactly good news. Bone infections are easily treated. Our vet is still looking in to other possibilities and conferring with some colleagues as to what may be causing Sam's troubles.
I took Sam back to the vet yesterday to get some lumps checked. He's part lab and labs are prone to getting fatty tumors. He's had one on the front of his rib cage for years - just a little marble sized lump. Well, Thursday I found three more that weren't there six weeks ago. For them to pop up that fast is unusual so we went to see our favorite vet. She checked the three news ones I found and one that she found and they all tested negative for anything nasty. So, THAT'S good news.
I just feel so sorry for Sammy. He's always been an exceptionally quiet dog, but in the past few months he's started moaning and groaning while he's lying down. He sounds so pitiful, like he's really uncomfortable. The vets don't have any answers as to why this is, either. I sure wish Sam could just tell me what hurts. I'll do anything to make him feel better. Poor guy!
On a happier front, I made four bag toppers for Easter. Here's a quick peek of three of them. These three were for my mom, sister, and dad. Ed also got one. It was a duplicate of the cowboy one I made for Dad.
