This picture is rather washed out, unfortunately. The card base is Brilliant Blue, the middle layer is Only Orange, and the top strip is YoYo Yellow. I stamped the penguin (from Memory Box) with Pallette Noir ink and colored it with Brilliant Blue, Only Orange, and YoYo Yellow markers. I stamped the "fun in the sun" sentiment (also from Memory Box) in Brilliant Blue, and used orange and yellow brads for accent. Also used on this card - Cuttlebug, small and large tag punch from Stampin' Up, blue stitched ribbon, dimensionals.
This little guy is also stamped in Pallette Noir ink and colored with Stampin' Up markers (Rose Red, Certainly Celery, Cameo Coral, and Barely Banana). The sentiment is stamped in Rose Red ink. I used a square punch to make the little "flag" indentation. Cardstock - Rose Red, Barely Banana, Cameo Coral, along with Certainly Celery print patterned paper. I also used paper piercing along the edges of the Barely Banana layer for an accent.
I had fun making these, but unfortunately they didn't do a thing to make me feel any cooler. I'm thinking about moving to Alaska. I bet the forecast in Anchorage doesn't look like this....
