Charming

For my birthday this year my parents gave me a James Avery charm bracelet. I had been on the fence about getting one for years as I'm not much of a bracelet wearer. They bought me three charms to start my collection (Little Sister, Deep in the Heart of Texas, and a quilt charm). For Christmas I had a long list of charms on my wish list, so my sister confiscated my bracelet the first week of the month. She had to go up to Waco on business, and there is a James Avery store there. Santa Claus brought my bracelet back to me with four new charms on it!

The new ones are the gecko (far left), the sandcastle, the music notes, and the airplane. The airplane was purchased using a gift card that one of my wonderful LOSTie sister sent to me for my birthday. I chose the plane because it represents Ocean Airlines Flight 815, the plane that crashed in the premier episode of LOST. If that plane hadn't crashed I never would have met my LOSTie sisters. It also represents my many travels.

Why a gecko? If you are ever in Central Texas in late summer you'll see tons of these little guys and gals all over the place in the evenings. They are just so cute! I love to tickle their feet if they are on a window screen - open the window and while they sit there thinking "You don't see me. I'm invisible." you tickle their tiny feet and watch them scurry away. Yes, I'm easily amused.

The castle represents my love of the beach and playing in the sand, as well as the castles we saw and toured when we lived in Europe. I'd love to go back again some day and go through more. They are completely fascinating.

The music note is pretty self explanatory - I love music! Always have. Always will. I don't play any instruments anymore, but I can sure play an iPod. :)

Very cute, Suzanne, I love all the charms and the persoanl meaning they have to you. I love the gecko, whenever I have gone to Disney World, I always see geckos running around the resort area.
