Just an update

Just a quick update - I had the worst seizure to date last night about 10:30. It lasted at least 20 minutes non-stop. Usually I'll twitch for 1 or 2 minutes then stop for a minute or two and then twitch again and this will be on for 10-15 mintues. The pause in between twitches is called "returning to baseline" or something like that. I never returned to baseline last night during the entire 20 minutes. Very scary, because that's when the doc said damage occurs in the brain - when you go past 15 minutes without returning to baseline. I crashed after the seizure - slept like the dead last night. Today I feel like I've been run over by a bus. Thankfully I've been able to rest all day and have another quiet day on tap for tomorrow.

We're putting together a list of all the stuff I'm dealing with (lack of organization and planning skills, attention span of a gnat, low frustration level, etc) along with my seizure journal and plan to see our doctor again this week. I went through my log yesterday and by rough count I've had about 40 seizures in 34 days. That's a lot! It's still six more weeks until I'm scheduled to see a neurologist. I don't really want to have 40+ more seizures in that time, ya' know? Especially when last night's was so bad.
