Something Different...

I'm tired of talking about my health, so how about something different today? I finally finished up some projects for my Secret Lostie Sister. I made an altered lunch tin and a coaster frame. The lunch tin is covered with paper from Basic Grey's "Oh Baby!" collection, and I used tons of ribbon from tons of companies on the handle, and Prima flowers with crystal brads as accents.

The frame is made from two 4x4 chipboard coasters (the kind they use at Chili's) and covered with paper from Basic Grey's "Color Me Silly!" collection. I painted the edge of the coasters with acrylic paint from Making Memories, and the hinges are from Making Memories. This is the first coaster I have made, so I wasn't really sure what I was doing. The ends of the brads that hold the hinges in place showed on the back of the frame and I really didn't like the way it looked. I had a idea pop into my head while I was waking up from my nap this afternoon - use some fancy brads, and just cut the "legs" of the brads off! So that's what I did - on the pic with the circle paper, the hardware is just brad heads attached over the ends of the other brads, held in place with glue dots! Clear as mud??? (Top pic is inside of frame, left sort of plain so the recipient can finish it up as she wants. Bottom pic is the outside of the frame.)

That's it for today! I need to go make a card to include in the package these items go in, and it will be ready to mail! WOOHOO!!!!

So cute Suz! Great paper!

When you have a minute you'll have to tell me the trick to posting more than 1 pick in a post. I haven't figured that part out yet.
