Sam Update

I just talked to the vet. Sam is doing fine. He gets to come home tomorrow. Yippee! It's so strange not to have him here. He is my shadow all day. It's rare for him to not be right beside me wherever I go in the house. Hank's been a little "off" last night and this morning. I think he misses Sam, too. I asked him last night where Sam was and he laid his ears back and looked up at me with his big golden eyes and the saddest "I don't know, but I miss him" look on his face. Poor guy!

Hank has been invited to stay at Grandma's and PaPa's for a few days after Sam comes home. That will make life easier for us while we're trying to get Sam's new rehab routine down pat. It will still be strange to only have one mutt in the house, but Hank will get spoiled rotten at Grandma's - he always does! And he'll have one-on-one play time with his "doggy cousin" Brinks. That hardly ever happens! When Sam and Hank go to visit Brinks just ignores them as best he can. He'll play with them one-on-one, but both of them at once is just too much for the poor old dog!
