Today was test day. We left the house at 7 this morning to go down to Austin to see the neuropsychologist. She is a very nice lady - very professional and friendly. We spent about four and a half hours together between interviews, testing, and reporting. The tests were extensive and exhausting. By the time we left I was lucky to remember my name! :)
So what's the result of the testing? I don't really remember what she said (we'll get a copy of the report in a few days), but my scores were very high on most of the tests, which is great. No serious problems! I think she said my main issues are just endurance/stamina right now, and that will come with time. We discussed several things - sleep issues, medications, exercise, schedules - and everything has run together. I'll give a better update when I get the report from her.
How's the kitty? Well she finally has a name! :) She is Emma Grace. Why Emma Grace? Well, Terry O'Quinn from LOST won an Emmy this past weekend and I wanted a name related to LOST, so "Emma" came from that. My LOSTie buddy Stacy suggested Emma Grace and I love it! So she is Emma, Emmy, Emma Grace, or (as Ed calls her) Miss Kitty and Emmy Lou Fuzzbutt.
She's also a very sick little girl. I had to take her to the vet yesterday. Poor thing hadn't stopped sneezing since Sunday night. She has a nasty upper respiratory infection, so she's on meds. She had a bad reaction to one of the meds last night and was really dazed and confused. The vet had told me this might happen, so we just kept an eye on her. She's better today. Still sneezy, but not quite as bad. She curled up with me when we got home today and took a nap. She's a major sweetie-pie! She still hates the dogs and wants nothing to do with them, but we're hoping that she and Sam will make peace in a few more days. It could take months for her and Hank to come to an understanding. He's not ready to be friends on her terms - he's way too bouncy and aggressive!
So that's what is going on around here. Thanks for the prayers on the testing! They helped and are greatly appreciated!
