GOOD NEWS!!!!

Sam went to the vet today for his one month follow up. The x-rays Dr. Kahil today show improvement in the leg bone, which means Sam DOES NOT have bone cancer!!!!



Dr. Kahil thinks that Sam's body doesn't like the metal plate that is attached to the leg bone (from last summer's surgery) and that is what's causing the problems. So we do two more months of antibiotics, then one month without antibiotics and see what happens. If the infection returns, then the plate will need to be removed. That's an ugly business and we don't really want to go there, so please keep praying for our Sam!

Here's a pic of our boy. It's an oldie, but a favorite. Ed was working out front one Saturday and Sam was keeping him company. At one point Ed looked around to see where Sam was and found him in the back of his truck!
