Yes, once again it's been weeks since I've blogged. Actually this time around it's not because nothing has been going on, but because I've been BUSY!!!! Last weekend our annual LOSTie Gathering took place just down the road a piece, so I spent some time having fun with my girlfriends. Last week Bryan returned and we've busy running here and there getting him back to work (and back and forth to work) and getting ready for school to start. And between driving, chatting, driving, housework, driving, and working, I have been stamping. Yes, stamping - that wonderful hobby that I used do regularly. Spending the weekend with my LOSTie sistahs really jump-started my stamping mojo and I have made close to 30 cards in the past couple of weeks. So why haven't I posted them? Um, no reason, really. Just haven't done it. Will I start doing it? Um, no promises, but I'll try.
But one thing I will do is write about the books I read last month. I started out rereading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (had to prep for seeing the movie), then I reread Twilight just for fun. The book is sooooooooo much better than the movie, but isn't it always? As for new reads...
Tall, Dark, and Texan by Jodi Thomas
The third in the Whispering Mountain series, this story focuses on Teagen McMurray. When Jessie and her three young daughters show up with a letter from her late husband asking Teagen to take care of them, he takes them to his ranch to wait for her relatives to arrive and escort her to California. Little does he know that there are no other relatives, and Jessie forged the letter. But Teagan has no tolerance for dishonesty, and Jessie fears what will happen when he learns the truth. Another great historical romance!
The Cat, the Quilt, and the Corpse by Leann Sweeney
From the author of the Yellow Rose Mystery Series comes this great new series! Jillian Hart is rebuilding her life after the death of her husband. She lives with her three cats - Merlot, Chablis, and Syrah - and when one of them is catnapped she is determined to find him. What she comes to realize is that cats have been disappearing from the area for quite some time and none of them have been found. When she discovers the body of a townsperson in his home, she becomes a prime suspect. Will she be able to convince the police chief that she is innocent and that cats are being kidnapped? Or will she be shipped off to prison for a crime she didn't commit?
That's it for July reads. I do have pics of some cards I've made. I will post them later this week, so check back, okay?

All great books that you listed. It was so much fun spending time with you a few weeks ago in TX. Have to giggle a little because it wasn't as hot in TX as I thought it would be. Much hotter in KY this summer. You need to post some of the pretty cards you made.
