Chickadee Buttons

Stamping AND blogging twice in one week? I must be sick or something! ;)

I have wanted the Everyday Button Bits set from Papertrey Ink for ages, and when one of my friends offered to let me buy it from her recently I couldn't resist! (Thanks, Kris!) I had so many ideas while I was making this card that I'm sure you'll be seeing more in the next few days! And I decided to try a Clean and Simple sketch (107) this week. Here's the result:

 

I haven't invested in Papertrey's ink, paper, and buttons, so I had to do the best I could with what I have - Basic Grey buttons and DP (Lime Rickey). Cardstock is from Stampin' Up, as is the ink (Tempting Turquoise, Wild Wasabi, and Daffodil Delight). I also used the scallop border punch from Stampin' Up. I didn't think I'd ever use this sheet of DP, but it worked well with the chickadees, in my opinion, especially with the googley eyes. :)
